She was silent a while and then said “It’s a good mistake to make because it was a big one; no going back from fuck ups like that. If you’re going to screw up, better to do it big time so your regret is thick and long lasting. Niggling regrets are no good— they just annoy you like mosquito bites. Better they be colossal and leave scars that last a lifetime because you’re more apt to learn from big mistakes. Little ones only piss you off.
